Biography

Stelian has over ten years of experience in banking and finance segment, business-to -business relations, marketing and sales areas.

He began his career in banking in 2005, at EFG Retail Services, and in two years was already Senior Relashionship Manager at Credit Europe Bank, developing relationships with major retailers in the market for implementation and acceptance of POS services of the bank. Shortly after the takeover of ABN AMRO by RBS BANK, he was recruited for the position of Merchant Manager for cards department, being directly responsible for sales and marketing strategies and also for the relationship with key clients of the bank.

In August 2009, he began working with Citibank, as Business Development & Cards Partnerships Manager, focusing solely on the B2B division. In the four years that had this position, he implemented and managed the largest discounts network of local banking system: 450 retailers with over 2,000 outlets. Also in that time it has established a partnership with the Ministry of Culture in which Citibank cardholders had free access to 17 of the most visited museums in Romania (eg Peles Castle, Village Museum, Brukenthal Museum etc.), which has proven not just unique but also one of the most used benefits in the local banking system.

After about 4 years in Citibank, in June 2013, he was recruited by Western Union as Senior Manager for developing money transfer services with major banks from 12 countries in the region of Central and Eastern Europe.

In 2014 develops with Sarbu Adrian a unique flexible benefits system for Romanian market. The solution offered by BENEFITONLINE.RO to the companies allows the employer possibility to outsource a service that would otherwise consume important internal resources (financial, time and people related):

– HR departments are exempt from the time and effort required to develop, implement and manage an integrated system for    employee benefits;
– Financial departments are exempt from time to negotiate, calculate and pay all the costs of each benefit offered to employees;
– The employer has tax advantages for most benefits;
– In addition, the employer is facilitating concept of “total reward” to their employees, making visible on the platform all the financial effort with the benefits.

The employer is outsourcing the benefits administration, having an immediate access to a modern and secured platform which includes the widest range of benefits from the Romanian market (with over 450 suppliers), maximizing the budgets impact with a minimum administrative effort.
